S.S. Excellent
The S.S. Excellent sunk on the 28th February 1888. She was carrying a cargo of fruit from Palermo to Philadelphia. Due to a strong current, she collided with another boat at night. The S.S. Excellence is a screw steamer which measures 80 metres in length and weighs just over 1000 tons. She sits in 25-28 metres of water, 50 metres off the detached mole.
